    Spend an evening in a world of treasure and endangered languages with Bob Holman - renowned poet, filmmaker, performer, professor, and activist - as he hosts a polyglot performance that celebrates and provides context for his upcoming partnership with Alonzo King LINES Ballet. This one-night-only event will feature spoken word in endangered languages, live music, and dancers from LINES Ballet.

    Watch the creative process unfold as the company prepares a new work for its 2017 Spring Home Season. The Alonzo King LINES Ballet Stage Rehearsal will feature excerpts from Alonzo King’s upcoming collaboration with poet and endangered language activist, Bob Holman.

    Alonzo King LINES Ballet's 2017 Spring Home Season premieres a collaboration with Bob Holman, founder of the Bowery Poetry Club. Holman is a poet, spoken word performer, professor, impresario, activist, filmmaker, and host of "Language Matters", Berkeley Film Festival’s 2015 Documentary of the Year that focuses on the rapid extinction of languages and the efforts to save and preserve them.

    Created for the non-professional dancer, the LINES Dance Center Adult Summer Intensive is an opportunity to work with world-renowned teachers, including Alonzo King himself, in the technical, artistic, and individual cultivation that founds the LINES philosophy and approach to dance training. These 4-day evening and weekend sessions feature daily ballet plus modern, somatics, composition, LINES repertoire, and more! Experience LINES like never before.
