The San Francisco Dance Center, located on Market and Seventh Streets in the heart of San Francisco, is near all major transportations. It has six spacious and professionally equipped studios available for short-term and long-term rental for rehearsals, classes, auditions and workshops.
SFDC has a Friday Special where all our studios are available at $5 off their regular rates all day long for individuals and non-profit groups.

Studios 1, 2, 5: 52 x 36 feet, 1872 square feet
Studios 3 & 6: 46 x 36 feet, 1656 square feet
Studio 4: 46 x 27 feet, 1242 square feet
Equipment available in all studios
• sprung floors
• professional sound systems with playback equipment with pitch control for cassettes and CD's, cable to connect to either MP3 player or a computer
• cable connections for microphones or mini-mixers in studios 3, 5, and 6 (adapters available to check out from Front Desk)
• upright pianos
Studio floor surfaces
All studios have linoleum dance surfaces, however, only Studio 6 is appropriate for dance forms that use hard-soled shows (tap, flamenco, folklorico, salsa, etc.). Studio 6 is also suitable for dance that uses barefeet. Hard-soled shoes are not allowed in the other studios.
DVD/VHS
2 TV monitors with VHS/DVD playback are available for use by renters at no additional cost.
Locker Rooms
There are changing rooms for men and women with lockers available for use during rehearsals. Please bring a lock to secure your belongings.

Short-term Rental Policies for Rehearsals,
Classes and Workshops
We require full payment of space requested at time of rental. This can be done by providing credit card information over the phone or by delivering payment in check or cash to our offices by the end of the next business day.
We require at least 7 days advance notice for changes. Any cancellations with 7 days or more notice will be held as a credit for future rentals within the next six months.
Reservations cancelled with less than 7 days notice will forfeit payment.
Rentals are non-refundable.
Studio rentals may be back to back with another rental. Therefore rental times must be respected.
Additional time used after the official end of a rental will be billed to the renter.
