About Us
Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet
makes its vibrant arts facility available to the public through
The San Francisco Dance Center which offers an extensive series of
open classes and studio rentals. LINES also offers formal training
programs through LINES Ballet School and the LINES/Dominican
BFA Program.
The Dance Center offers more than 100 classes a week for adult dancers who want to challenge and inspire themselves through dance. These classes are taught by professional teachers and choreographers and are offered at many different levels and in many different dance forms. Both new students and professionals will find classes that hone their skills as dancers and foster their growth as artists. More than 600 dancers have become members of the Dance Center and train extensively through these classes.
The Center has six professionally equipped studios that are available for rental for rehearsals and classes. Located in the heart of San Francisco, its beautiful and spacious studios have become the home for many San Francisco-based companies and the home away from home for touring shows. Hours & Location
With six studios spread over three floors, the Dance Center is centrally located at Seventh & Market in the historic Odd Fellows building. It is convenient to BART and MUNI lines at Civic Center/UN Plaza Station and the many bus lines that run down Market Street.

We are open Monday through Friday
from 9am to 10pm and on weekends from 9am to 6pm. We are open all
holidays except New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Bikes & MUNI
BIKES ARE WELCOME! We have bike racks on the 4th floor where you can safely lock up your bike.
BART & MUNI Civic Center/UN Plaza Station
We are located directly in front of the Civic Center/UN Plaza BART & MUNI Station. From the station, take the escalator marked 7th and Market to street level, and walk down Seventh Street towards Mission Street. Our offices and studios are half way down the block on the right hand side at 26 7th Street in the Odd Fellows Building.

From the Peninsula, San Jose Take 101 North, Continue on I-80 East towards the Bay Bridge/Oakland, Take the 7th street/ U.S. 101 North exit towards Downtown, Bear left on 7th Street, the San Francisco Dance Center is located on the left hand side at 26 7th Street in the Odd Fellows Building on the fifth floor.
From the East Bay Take the I-80 West (Bay Bridge) towards San Francisco, Cross the Bridge and take the 5th Street exit towards Golden Gate Bridge, Bear right on 5th Street, Turn Left on Howard Street, then turn right on 7th Street, the San Francisco Dance Center is located on the left hand side at 26 7th Street in the Odd Fellows Building on the fifth floor.
From Marin Take 101 South towards Oakland/ San Francisco Cross the Golden Gate Bridge, Continue on 101 South and then it turns into Lombard Street, Turn Right on Van Ness Ave, Turn Left on golden Gate Avenue, Turn Right on 6th Street, Turn right on Mission Street, Turn Right on 7th Street, the San Francisco Dance Center is located on the left hand side at 26 7th Street in the Odd Fellows Building on the fifth floor.
Parking
• The City Park lot at 1054 Mission between 6th and 7th (next to Court of Appeals) is $10 a day. There are also two less expensive lots on Seventh Street just before Mission.
• The "City-Parking" Garage is beneath Civic Center Plaza. It has entrances on Grove and McAllister and space is available by the hour.
• Street parking is limited but is available during the day for one hour intervals in the area. After 6:00 these are free and unlimited.
