Alonzo King and the LINES Ballet dancers invite you to join us for a spectacular Gala Celebration benefiting the Company's artistic and educational programs. An elegant evening of music, arts, fine cuisine and celebration, this year's Gala includes the San Francisco premiere performance of Scheherazade, Alonzo King's poetic allegory on the healing and transformative power of love. Scheherazade features music performed by India's tabla master Zakir Hussain, who has re-interpreted the original score by Rimsky-Korsakov. Scheherazade's world premiere was part of the 2009 Monaco Dance Forum in celebration of the Centenary of the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo.
