KIDS AT LINES SUMMER CAMP

JUNE 10-14, 2024

Our Kids at LINES Summer Camp offers young dancers a week-long exploration of creativity and different dance styles! Students will learn from LINES faculty inside the professional studios of our beautiful downtown San Francisco home. Each day will begin with a ballet class, followed by either contemporary or hip hop. Then, after a break for lunch, students will work with LINES faculty to develop their own group and individual dances.

No previous experience is required to participate, but students should be motivated to explore new ways of moving while connecting with professional dance artists and a community of early artists.

Our Kids at LINES Summer Camp is rooted in our unique HeART curriculum that benefits a child’s physical wellness and imagination. When children use their bodies through dance, they reveal their HeARTs (humility, emotion, artistry, ritual, and truth). Our curriculum runs through all of our Youth and School Programs and provides students with dance experiences that promote:

• Social emotional learning
• Abstract thinking
• Collaboration and community building
• Elementary foundations in different dance styles
• Dancing!

We also strive to follow best practices in anti-racist, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed teaching.
