Victor Mateos Arellano was born in Madrid, Spain. He received his formal ballet training at age eleven at the Victor Ullate School in Madrid, Spain, and went on to study at the School of American Ballet in New York City. He began dancing professionally at Ballet Victor Ullate in Madrid. In 2000, he joined the Dutch National Ballet, where he worked closely with Rudi van Dantzig on the last two works he created, and also danced in new works by David Dawson. During the following years, Victor danced at the Hamburg Ballet, the Semper Opera in Dresden, and Ballettmainz. He has danced in ballets by William Forsythe, Rudi van Dantzig, John Neumeier, Ted Brandsen, Krzysztof Pastor, David Dawson, Pacal Touzeau, Sir Peter Wright, George Balanchine, Hans van Manen, and Jiri Kylian. This is his first season with LINES Ballet.
