Kara Wilkes

Kara Wilkes, a native of Wisconsin, began her professional career dancing classical and contemporary work for five seasons with Milwaukee Ballet Company. In 2006, she was invited to join Ballet Victor Ullate of Madrid with whom she performed throughout Spain. A year later, Kara went on to dance with North Carolina Dance Theatre for four seasons, where she danced works by choreographers such as Dwight Rhoden, Mark Godden, Nacho Duato, Twyla Tharp, Alvin Ailey, Jacqulyn Buglisi, and George Balanchine. In 2009, Dance Magazine named Kara to its “25 to Watch” list. This is her first season.
